10/4/2012 - Riptide Software Turns 17 years old
(Orlando, FL) — October 4, 2012 – Today Riptide Software announced the celebration of 17 years in business. Riptide Software, headquartered in Oviedo, Florida, has evolved from a small software development start-up of just several employees into a leading provider of innovative software solutions with over 100 employees.
"We started out 17 years ago with a small team in a garage and have grown into a business far exceeding expectations," said Phillip Loeffel, Riptide Software founder, President and CEO. 01/19/2012 - Riptide Software has been awarded the HITS Production Contract.
(Orlando, FL) — January 19, 2012 – Yesterday the government announced that the 8A disadvantaged small business EHS Technologies with teammate Riptide Software has won the HITS (Homestation Instrumentation Training System) Production Contract. Riptide Software developed the Proof of Principle (PoP) for HITS, it was so successful that they fielded the PoP and it became the system of record for Homestation Live Training for the US Army. Now the Army wants to take the system they created, and replicate it 2 to 3 times a year over the next 8 years.
“I can’t tell you how proud I am of our current win streak and the work we are accomplishing for the Army and USMC.” Said Riptide Software CEO Barry Clinger. Two Days after COL Flanagan announced HITS was going to go 8A Riptide Software with EHS had a team together, had full HITS company set delivered to I/ITSEC and demo-ed it for the COL and his team.

07/29/2011 - Riptide / Parsons Team Win TSS Contract
(Orlando, FL) — July 29, 2011 – Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that Parsons, with critical teammate Riptide Software, has been awarded by the Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Center Ft. Eustis, VA, a contract for Training Support Systems (TSS) Enterprise Mission Support Services for the U.S. Army Training Support Center (ATSC), Ft. Eustis, VA. The Army Training Support Center (ATSC) will manage, plan, integrate, implement, and sustain specific TSS programs that support training across all training doctrines and the Training and Doctrine Commands (TRADOC) core missions. This 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) includes 1 base year with 4 option years. Riptide played a critical teammate role in winning this effort providing Live Training Transformation (LT2) expertise including instrumentation systems from experience working with the Army at Homestation and the Combat Training Centers.
"The TSS IDIQ win will assist in providing Riptide with strategic visibility into new Army doctrine and requirements helping Riptide to continue anticipating the Army's training system needs," said Riptide Chief Technology Officer, Barry Clinger. 04/05/2011 - Riptide Selected to Develop the US Army's Instrumented Ranges/Digital Range Training System
(Orlando, FL) — April 05, 2011 – Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) along with prime Lockheed Martin, Global Training & Logistics division to develop the US Army's Digital Range Training System (IR/DRTS). The total amount of the IR/DRTS contract is $450 million.
The IR/DRTS is for numerous live training requirements for the study, design, development, testing, qualification, production, integration, training, fielding and support of digital training ranges related instrumentation with includes tracked, wheeled, dismounted, aerial instrumentation and integration into existing/future instrumentation systems and ranges. The IR/DRTS Program is comprised of the following range types: Digital Multi-Purpose Range Complex (DMPRC), Digital Multi-Purpose Training Ranges (DMPTR), Battle Area Complex (BAX) and Digital Air/Ground Integration Range (DAGIR).
"This is a fantastic opportunity for our team to continue development of the Army's most prestigious live fire ranges that we started ten years ago", said Riptide Chief Technology Officer, Barry Clinger. 04/04/2011 - Riptide selected as 2010 outstanding small business supplier
(Orlando, FL) - April 4, 2011 - Riptide Software, Inc. will receive recognition from Lockheed Martin Global Training and Logistics (GTL) as an outstanding small business supplier for performance during year 2010. This recognition is a tribute to Riptide's commitment to customer service, quality and timely performance supporting the Marine Corp Instrumented Training Systems (MC-ITS) Program.
Riptide Software will be honored at the annual Small Business Awards on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. The event is co-hosted by Lockheed Martin Global Training and Logistics, and Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control. Senior leaders from both business units will attend this event.

04/01/2011 - Riptide Selected to Develop the US Army's Urban Operations Training Systems
(Orlando, FL) - April 1, 2011 - Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) along with prime Lockheed Martin, Global Training & Logistics division to develop the US Army's Urban Operations Training Systems. This contract is an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity) with an estimated lifetime value of $500 million.
The intent of Urban Operations is to provide dynamic, modular and scalable solutions to fulfill various aspects of individual, collective, and combined arms training. Urban Operations encompasses more than traditional going-to-war training; it also addresses other-than-war operations (such as peacekeeping missions), and homeland defense and anti-terrorism scenarios.
"We are very pleased that our Exercise Control system, and our Video Monitoring and Editing System were selected by the Army", said Riptide Chief Technology Officer, Barry Clinger. "This effort allows Riptide and Lockheed the opportunity to bring our soldier training systems to an incredibly important segment of soldier training in today's modern warfare."

04/01/2011 - Riptide selected to prime first RDS (Range Data System)
(Orlando, FL) - April 1, 2011 - Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) with Koos Technologies and RSDI to develop the first CARTS (Common Army Ranges and Target System) contract, Range Data System (RDS). This is the first contract to be awarded under the new CARTS IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity) vehicle with an estimated lifetime value of $1.8 million.
"Riptide is excited to be selected as prime on the first CARTS award", said Riptide Chief Technology Officer, Barry Clinger. "We are proud to assist the US Army in fielding a new generation of training radio that weighs less and provides more capability directly to our soldiers in home station training."
RDS will provide a complete system including the soldier radios with hardware and software to provide command, control and communications (C3) infrastructure. This contract will field a force-on-force company level training instrumentation system to Ft. Bliss and Ft. Riley.
